My Recommendations!

Summer is here. Now we have time to do many things, like travel, sports, sleep, etc. So why not read? Summer is a great time to curl up and read, as you have much more free time! So without further ado, here are 10 books you should read over your summer vacation. Let's get started!

1. The Selection by Kiera Cass

This is a dystopian novel, with a story I've heard described as a book version of the bachelor. It is entertaining, and mostly lighthearted. It is the story of America Singer, who enjoys her life the way it is, until her mother convinces her to sign up for the selection, where many girls are chosen to live at the palace so the prince may get to know them, and then choose one to be his queen. Will America try to win the prince? Who will the prince choose? Find out when you read, The Selection.

2. P.S. I Like You by Kasie West This is a lighthearted contemporary novel that follows Lily Abbot, a high school junior who loves to write songs on her guitar. She is a strange girl, who is an outsider. The popular boy at school, Cade, makes fun of her, and she hates him for it. Will lily be able to write a song among the hubbub of day to day life at her home? Will she ad Cade be able to put aside their differences? Find out when you read, P.S. I Like You.

3. The Unwanteds by Lisa McMann Every year in Quill, thirteen-year-olds are sorted into categories: the strong, intelligent Wanteds go to university, and the artistic Unwanteds are sent to their graves. On the day of the Purge, identical twins Alex and Aaron Stowe await their fate. While Aaron is hopeful of becoming a Wanted, Alex knows his chances are slim. He’s been caught drawing with a stick in the dirt-and in the stark gray land of Quill, being creative is a death sentence. But when Alex and the other Unwanteds face the Eliminators, they discover an eccentric magician named Mr. Today and his hidden world that exists to save the condemned children. Artimé is a colorful place of talking statues, uncommon creatures, and artistic magic, where creativity is considered a gift… and a weapon. If you want to find out what happens, read The Unwanteds. 4. A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness

The monster showed up after midnight. As they do.But it isn’t the monster Conor’s been expecting. He’s been expecting the one from his nightmare, the nightmare he’s had nearly every night since his mother started her treatments, the one with the darkness and the wind and the screaming....This monster, though, is something different. Something ancient, something wild. And it wants the most dangerous thing of all from Conor. It wants the truth. This is a story with a bittersweet end, but the lessons learned are very valuable. To find out how the story ends, read the book A Monster Calls.

5. The Trials of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan After angering his father Zeus, the god Apollo is cast down from Olympus. Weak and disorientated, he lands in New York City as a regular teenage boy. Now, without his godly powers, the four-thousand-year-old deity must learn to survive in the modern world until he can somehow find a way to regain Zeus's favor. But Apollo has many enemies—gods, monsters and mortals who would love to see the former Olympian permanently destroyed. Apollo needs help, and he can think of only one place to go... an enclave of modern demigods known as Camp Half-Blood. Read the book to find out how it ends

These are my recommendations for the moment. I hope you enjoyed them, and that you may someday read them. That's all for now! Bye!
