Review: "Lady Midnight," by Cassandra Clare
Hello everyone! Today, I'm reviewing "Lady Midnight" by Cassandra Clare. Let's get started!
First, I'll start with a quick summery.
Emma Carstairs is a warrior and a Shadowhunter, the best in her generation. She lives for Battle. She patrols the streets of Los Angeles, Where Vampires party and Faeries start turning up murdered the same way Emma's parents were. This is Emma's chance for revenge, and her parabatai - partner in battle, Julian's chance to get back his brother, Mark. The catch- they have two weeks to solve the murderers or the faeries would take back Mark, who is being held captive by the faeries. Who has really killed her parents? Can she bear the truth? Find out when you read the book, "Lady Midnight".

Well, I LOVED this book. It was such an energizing read, never a dull moment. I enjoyed the characters, and the plot twists! Amazing!
I am a sucker for characters with dark, curly hair, and Julian Blackthorn has just that. He is amazing, not only as a shadow hunter, but as an older brother. After his parents died, he took care of his siblings and the institute because his Uncle was always distant and a tad crazy, staying up in his attic all the time. Some may say Julian was wrong to keep it secret from the calve that he was the one running the institute, but he was doing it to keep his family together. I can't blame him for that!
Enough of my favorite character, let's go to my review!
I enjoyed all the characters, as they are all unique and special in their own way. They are all unforgettable, and you grow to love or hate them, depending on what their role in the story is. There are no love triangles, which is appreciated, as they are annoying if not done well. I do think that Cassandra Clare could write a good one if she wanted to, though.
Cassandra Clare is such a good author, and if you like this book, then I would check out her other two series, The "Mortal instruments" series and the "Clockwork Trilogy".
